Responsible AI at Jacob Meadow Associates: AI should amplify human expertise, not replace it.
At Jacob Meadow Associates (JMA), we believe Artificial Intelligence should amplify human expertise, not replace it. We integrate AI responsibly into our consulting services to help clients unlock their strategic “X Factor” and achieve measurable business outcomes.
This policy applies to how JMA uses AI in delivering services to clients and in operating this website. Our commitment to responsible AI is grounded in the following principles, aligning with leading global standards and emerging regulatory frameworks.
We are committed to clear and understandable AI. We disclose when AI is used in our client deliverables, decision support, or diagnostic tools, clearly separating AI-generated insights from human advisory conclusions. Where appropriate, we strive to provide insight into how AI models arrive at their conclusions.
AI tools and models are operated on data governed by strict access controls, encryption, and strong compliance protocols. We implement rigorous data governance practices to ensure the quality, integrity, and relevance of data used in AI systems. We do not use client confidential information or personal data to train third-party or public AI models, and we do not provide it to such models for that purpose, without explicit permission.
AI augments, never replaces, our consultants. All client-facing insights and recommendations are subject to human review and validation by domain experts to ensure accuracy, context, and alignment with strategic objectives. We maintain appropriate human oversight, especially in critical decision-making processes.
We are committed to the equitable and reliable application of AI. We proactively evaluate AI tools and data for potential biases, working to ensure reliability and accuracy in their application. JMA assumes responsibility for how AI is applied within engagements, implementing continuous oversight and actively managing AI-related risks in line with established risk management frameworks.
JMA deploys AI only when it clearly supports client outcomes, improves efficiency, or identifies opportunities for change. Our AI applications are consistently aligned with ethical considerations and aimed at delivering tangible, measurable business value.
For anyone responsible for creating a deliverable at JMA, especially those using AI, a rigorous internal review and approval process is mandatory. Nothing is delivered to the client without internal review and final approval by JMA.
Our review process ensures:
We continuously monitor and evaluate our AI systems and practices. We regularly review and refine our AI use to align with industry best practices and evolving regulatory standards, including the NIST AI Risk Management Framework (AI RMF) and the OECD AI Principles. These frameworks emphasize trustworthiness, fairness, robustness, and accountability, and while voluntary, are widely recognized as leading guidance for responsible AI.
For clients with specific regulatory or security requirements, we offer tailored guidance on AI governance and can operate within their approved frameworks and controls. JMA is committed to continuous improvement, ensuring our AI governance evolves alongside emerging global standards such as the EU AI Act and the U.S. Blueprint for an AI Bill of Rights.
How we handle personal information collected through this website, including that we do not use it to train AI models, is described in our Privacy Policy.
